Monica, a compassionate and dedicated professional, began her journey in nursing at Miami Dade College in 2005, later earning her Bachelor’s degree from the same institution. Her nursing career initially focused on medical-surgical care, but her passion for mental health was ignited during her tenure at the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson South in Miami, Florida, where she witnessed firsthand the critical need for empathetic mental health providers.
Motivated by this experience, Monica pursued her Master of Science in Nursing at NSU, specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Grounded in her strong faith and commitment to holistic care, Monica endeavors to establish meaningful therapeutic connections with her patients at Brighter You, her own psychiatric practice. Through her empathetic approach and dedication to others, Monica aims to empower individuals on their journey towards mental wellness.
